Finally, A Blog I Can Commit To: One With No...Oh, Focus.

Hello, my name is Jodi, and I'm an fascinatiaholic.

fascinatiaholic (n.)- one who finds so many things interesting that it has the potential to become a character flaw.

Since the day it started running, I wanted to hop on the blogging bus, but was continually intimidated by the amount of focus so many bloggers seemed to have. Not only were these people able to choose ONE topic about which to write for the duration of their blog, but they were able to find enough facets of this ONE topic to write an entry monthly, weekly, or the unimaginable DAILY.

The problem is not a deficiency of opinions. I have plenty of those. About many things. Therein lies the problem.

But how much of a problem is it, really? The word blog, as you know, is a combination of web and log. A web log. What log of any event in history has ever held perfect consistency?

If we all can relate to one single thing, I'd imagine that it is that there is not much focused or consistent about our lives at all. It's a fast, distracting world; why not embrace it?!

I can't promise that I'll write every day, or even every week. I can't promise that every entry will be riveting or insightful. What I can promise is that every entry I write will be written with love and thoughtfulness, and with no expectations for myself or for the blog's readers.

Some things you might find in this blog, though include, but are not limited to: photography, music (my boyfriend and two of our great friends have a band!), crafts, diy home improvement, diy gifts, fashion (my favorite part of the day is deciding what to wear), show of appreciation for the little things, coffee (I work at Starbucks), customer service observations, and romance (I've been in love with the most creative, beautiful man I've ever met for two years and counting.)

I also promise that no other entry will be as long as this one. I don't think.

Happy New Year! Happy New Acceptance of Self!

Treat each other well,
S.S.
